Distributorless T.

Once upon a time when I was still in high school (1966), there was a T that had no distributor doing the car show circuit. I remember reading about it in Popular Hot Rodding and I think it even had a schematic on how the thing worked. It had a transformer and one wire for each side of the block that connected all the spark plugs (glow plugs?) and the fuel was forced through narrow ducts to reach constantly burning plugs. Anybody know who had it and what ever happened to it?

You got me Tony. I don't remember reading about this back then, and lord knows i'm old enough to have been reading Popular Hot Rodding back then. Maybe someone else will chime in with some info. Interesting concept tho.Wonder if it really worked?

Thanks for the reply. I was just starting to think maybe this whole thing was a bogus memory from too many brewskis from my younger days but then I tripped over a picture of the thing while flipping through the pages of a back issue of Hot Rod Deluxe (May 2010, page 47). I'll have to find out the legallity of posting a picture from the magazine. At least I know I'm not crazy (all right! Crazier!) now.

The caption from the picture was pretty much the same question. Could it work? And Did it work? These are the questions that I'm pondering. And then, I also spend alot of time pondering my toes.
