polished stainless steel vs chrome

Post by isaltz »

hi guys, i ordered a chrome suspension package, it will come with 4 bar radius rods, shocks, leaf springs and front axle all chromed, well the shop doesnt have a chrome axle in at the moment and says they will ship me at no extra charge a $150 upgrade and send me the polished stainless steel axle, my ? is will it look close enough to the chrome not to make a difference or will there be a signifacant difference in the way it looks, feel free to give your honest opinions, i am on the fence on this one! i know advantages of the stainless my problem is will they look the same, thanks

I think that would be a great up-grade and the difference would be very little,..........You can polish SS pretty bright..... :)! :)! :)!

Never rusting would be nice also..............

My front end is a mix of chrome and polished SS pieces. There is a slight difference if you study it closely, but to the typical hotrod-savvy observer it is not noticeable. Most people (including T-bucket folks) think my polished SS firewall cover is chrome.
T-buckets make people smile.
