This website uses a software product known as phpBB. PHP is a programming language and the BB (bulletin board) was written in it. It is from the Free Software Foundation. I had a website which used phpBB a long time ago. I'm no longer current of the software and don't know if/what the picture options are. Our webmistress might want to look into it to see if that is a know problem or just an option to select for posted pictures.

Re: Right side of pictures being cut off
OK, I did a little research.
1. Picture size will affect the display. The administrator can set this. This is the text form the help system:
MAXIMUM IMAGE DIMENSIONS: The maximum size of image attachments, in pixels. If you would like to disable dimension checking (and thereby allow image attachments of any dimensions), set each value to 0.
IMAGE LINK DIMENSIONS: If an image attachment is larger than these dimensions (in pixels), a link to the image will be displayed in the post instead. If you want images to be displayed inline regardless of dimensions, set each value to 0.
So, apparently setting image size dimensions may cause the picture to display a little better.
There is a facility to create thumbnails when uploading:
CREATE THUMBNAIL: This setting configures your board to either create a thumbnail for every image attached, or not.
MAXIMUM THUMBNAIL WIDTH IN PIXELS: This is the maximum width in pixels for the created thumbnails.
MAXIMUM THUMBNAIL FILESIZE: Thumbnails will not be created for images if the created thumbnail filesize exceeds this value, in bytes. This is useful for particularly large images that are posted.

Re: Right side of pictures being cut off
Good research, but non of it works on Hot Linked photos since the software has no idea at all how big the hot linked photo is.... so it just cuts it off... Face Book does the exact same thing with oversize photos and they have a bit more of a budget than we do. With all that said Jan being the Web Wizard that she is, fixed the hot-linking problem this morning (he says with crossed fingers) and the whole issue should go away including existing photos....Ted

One more just to be sure..................

So now this picture will make sense. A blown Chevy, Ford, and Mopar, showing how we can all get along. Strange metaphor I know.
Yup, fixed and we thank you Jan!!!!!
