Just an idea, how about taking the train from Carson City to Virginia City and leave the Buckets at the hotel or train parking lot! This way parking would not be a problem in Virginia City.

PS. As you know, the train from Carson City and Virginia City is a vintage train that I'm sure everyone would enjoy!

Re: Ideas for 2013 NATS
Harv, my intent is only to bring forth some ideas for those that would want to do other things other than drive their Tee's. The Carson City area is full of areas that you can drive to for the local sites, I just wanted to address those that may want to get out of the Buckets as a change. I know that driving our Tee-Buckets is what it's all about, but sometimes downtime away from the Tee's to see and do other things is a good diversion. Just some thoughts on this.

Rolla, Because I have your attention
and you are the President, how about having an informal welcome dinner/snack time one evening at the host hotel so everyone can get together and introduce themselves with name tags. The cost could be added to the entry fee. I'm sure the hotel has a room they would rent out to us for a function and maybe cater it.

Re: Ideas for 2013 NATS
Harry, we had something similar at Coker Tire this year. It was our official kickoff on Weds. evening. We might even be able to get the hotel to " Sponsor " it, as Coker Tire did last year
.. They had beverages, sandwiches, cheese and crackers and items that are produced locally such as Moon Pies and Coke products.
Gilbert, I will leave this one in your court
.. Just another thought folks, if EVERYONE would make a personal commitment to meet at least 5-10 people they DON'T already know the family grows at a much quicker rate!!
Gilbert, I will leave this one in your court

Rolla,
Good idea. I don't know who it was that was kind enough to share their homemade moonshine with me poolside at the Choo-Choo, but that was a fun evening. My first shine.
