Here is one of the gears destroyed, not by my driving but someone's installation mistake 15,000 miles ago.

I hope you are getting an overdrive transmission! The 200-4R has the same
spline and length driveshaft, you just have to move the trans mount. The 700-R4
is another option, but will require more mods.

Don't forget you will need a torque converter for anything you buy. I would NOT
reuse the one you have, way too much trash in it now and you can't get it out
without cutting it open.

Oh, one more thing!

If you are running a trans cooler, could be in the radiator or an external one. You will
need to flush the lines and cooler. Would also be a good idea to put one these Wix
magnetic inline filters.

I am running a 5 speed and will get a ford performance world class t5 m-7003-z, not an automatic.
But thanks for the heads up.

Well, after 3 1 hour one way trips to the new Summit racing warehouse that opened up near here I have the Paddywagon running again.
I bought the new transmission and got it home and found out the TOB(throw out bearing, part of the hydraulic clutch) from the old tranny was too small to fit on the new one. The guy that owned the donor car had a different size shaft. So I had to go back and buy a new TOB.
I got the whole thing back on the car and discovered the lines to the fluid cylinder are different sizes also. Another trip south and I got the right stuff.
You would think it is great to walk in and shop at the warehouse but no, you still must have some idea of what you need and then they look it up on their computer.
There is some stuff on shelves, most of it is tied down.
Oh well, still learning at this age.....
