Trailer Back-up Lights Wiring
I am installing a couple of LED back-up lights on my trailer. The power wire will be 25 to 30 feet long.
What gauge wire should I be using?

Re: Trailer Back-up Lights Wiring
Mark 14-16 gauge would have been fine, especially with LED lights but better safe than sorry. I hadn’t been on for awhile and am just now catching up

BACK UP lights on your trailer...for whom? Surely you are NOT going to be seeing them. I suppose you want others to see them though. You will prolly be the only person in the United States with back-up lights on their trailer...but hey...you WILL be the first!!!!!

Re: Trailer Back-up Lights Wiring
Hey Luggy, guess you have never noticed my trailer, but it has back up lights. I installed them in about ??? 2001 or 2002 I think. They do provide enough light in the dark to make a big help when by yourself. It also lets those behind me who can't read my mind know what is about to happen to them, LOL !! In fact a friend of mine bought a new trailer a couple of years ago and because of my trailer he decided to add them to his build and was glad he did + has had several compliments for having had them.

As always, I appreciate your input. I have a long driveway. When we return, at night from a trip, it would be helpful to have our way lighted!
Futhermore, my trailer sales guys told me that b/u lights are a very popular option!
