Downloading/printing posts and/or pictures

Post by dezolde »

I'm not much of a computer person but is it possible to download and/or print forum posts and/or pictures?

If so, can someone give me a quick explanation of the procedure?

Never mind, I got it figured out. Only problem is that direct print can result in pictures being cut. I suppose it is also possible to download first, then re-space before printing.

Thanks,
Jerry

Jerry first are you just wanting to print the photos or are you trying to print the whole post?

If you want to print the whole post then open that up and do CtrlP and then just print the pages you want.....Photos are a little different bring up the photo and right click in the middle and save it to a folder in your photo file. then do that for as many as you want. Then go to the folder and open the photo and do CtrlP and then print...…..Is this clear enough? I can call you if you would like.... :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)!

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the feedback! Your instructions are very clear and much appreciated.

I was trying to print entire post, including pictures. Your suggestion of CtlP works to do that. Also, found I could select "Savings and more" (3 horizontal dots in screen upper right corner), then select "print" and do the same thing. Printing just takes place in sequence so both text and/or photos may get cut during page breaks in the process. Not sure how to get around that but no big deal. Also, seems like small links to picture do not print as you print entire post. You have to open them and print separately.

Your suggestion on "right click photo" and "save as" works great for small links or imbedded pictures. Thanks for that tip.

Hope things are going well for y'all. You've done a lot of traveling.

Click where you want to start copying and drag the cursor to the bottom. It will capture the text and
pictures to your clip board. Open you word processor such as Microsoft Word and paste. Now
you will have more control over what's being printed.

Thanks Rick! Actually, that's what I tried to do first but, after highlighting, couldn't figure out how to copy/paste into Word document. I was looking for some sort of "copy" command.

I can drag but then not sure how to then get it into Word. Oh well, at least I now I know a couple of ways now to get it done.

Some old guys learn slow and don't retain very well either. :(

Watch these videos.

NOTE: When you right-click to copy, you must right-click on top of the
highlighted text. If you don't, then you will have to start over and highlight the text
again, then right-click on the highlighted text.

Rick, now I see, what I was missing was the right click after highlighting to copy.

Thanks for the help and the You Tube links.

Now, just need to address the retention issue.
