Responding to a few things here:

First of all Mike and Angel, because you truly are a team, Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for the NTBA Family! The SAA was a small part of what you have done for so many years!! You both are great assets to our family and we are blessed to have you.

Cooter, you will do just fine as SAA !!! I remember a conversation with Bruce, in John Browns front yard one day, where he said, “ I’d like to get more involved” and “if there’s anything you need let me know”. The rest is history 😉😉😉. Be careful what you ask for 🤪🤪. I remember a similar conversation with you 👍👍

Bruce, I am glad you have decided to stay in for a second term! You , along with our board, have continued to guide us through some awesome times, great events, and now even some tough decisions! You lead with your heart in the right place and the family’s best interest in mind and that’s all we can ask for!! As an officer of any group, it’s not about me, it’s about WE, and WE have the right leaders in place!!?

Thanks to all our board members!!!

A NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Hi all,
I hope everyone stayed safe the last few months. I know all of you are itching to do an event, so here we go!
The update on the Presidents run July 9-11. LETS DO IT! Texas has opened a lot of venues, and with a little smart planning it should be fun.
The hotel is the Fairfield Inn and Suites, 6 Cascade Caverns Road, Boerne, TX 78006. 830-368-4167. The rates are $99 a night including breakfast. A few of you have said if you make your reservation before Thursday starting on Wednesday, you get a rate of $95 for all nights. Plus, activities start Thursday morning, and you don’t want to miss those! The cutoff date for rates is June 19th.
Although all our runs will be the same, I’m trying to change up our eating areas, so we’ll be more isolated. Maybe, more picnic style lunch and dinners, and outside table eating.
Right now we have planned to see a very unique car collection, former President LBJ’s “Texas White House”, various shops and attractions. I will post a complete schedule in the next few weeks, of course everything is subject to change, based on present conditions.
This will hopefully be the first of our remaining four events for the 2020 NTBA season.
I hope a lot of you can make it. Boerne is a great little Texas town with a lot of country heritage. I’m also looking forward to getting back together with our T bucket family.

Note from the President
Hi All,
Well, some unfortunate news about the Presidents run July 9-11. Due to the raising numbers of the COVID-19 virus in Texas we have to cancel the event.
I’m sorry to have to do this because I along with a lot of you, were really looking forward to this event. The numbers have spiked considerably throughout Texas, especially in San Antonio, and now we’re seeing it in Boerne. The risk at this point is just to high.
The good news is, this will be an event next year!
Those of you who made a hotel reservation, go ahead and call to cancel.
Thanks for understanding.

Hi all,
Unfortunately more bad news, we have to cancel the Lake of the Ozarks, Osage Beach event. After much discussion with the Kansas and Missouri chapters, it’s in the best interest of our members to hold off on this event also. I can assure everyone this event will take place next year in the same time period.
Again, I’m sorry we have to do this, but from the start we agreed not to put anybody at risk. I also want everybody to feel safe and comfortable coming to an event, and that means not leaving anybody out. If you made a hotel reservation, call the hotel direct to cancel.
2020 has been a strange year for all of us. But as far as the NTBA is concerned, we’re going to make up for it in 2021! I know by next year all of you will be very anxious to make it to runs and events, I know I will. I can promise you, they will be bigger and better!

Thanks again for your understanding.

Note from the President
Hi All,
Some more disappointing news. We have to cancel the Lobsta Run, September 17-19 in South Portland, Maine.
Talking with Jeremy and Ben, it was decided for the best interest of all members and attendees. Again, with a high risk and long distances to travel, we realized many of you who wanted to make this event, would have been unable to. We also unanimously decided to give those Lobsta’s another year to grow, and be bigger for next year!
Jeremy mentioned getting some locals to go cruising during those day’s, but it would not be the three day or week long NTBA event. This event will be delayed until next year, and will take place most likely the same week in 2021.
I know it’s been a disappointing year, but we can all understand why we have to do it. So let’s keep looking forward to next year, starting in April. One of my favorite sayings is “it’ll be here before we know it!”
Thanks again for your understanding.

Note from the President
Hi All,
Our last event of the season, The Razor T’s Fun Run in Mountain Home, AR. September 24-26...... has been cancelled. However, Rick Lucy assures us that this event will take place in 2021 in the same time period.
At this time all the 2020 event hosts agreed their doing the same events in 2021 during those same time periods. Naturally the dates will change by a day, but we will have the entire 2021 season announced with those changes.
We all know what a crazy year it’s been, and I hope it’s all over when we’re ready to go cruising! We’re in the process now of printing a “slash” through the 2020 shirts and they will be for sale (at our cost per shirt) for “the season that didn’t happen”. It’s unfortunate we can’t use them for 2021, but the dates would be wrong. Plus it’ll be a fun nostalgia shirt for your collection.
I know it’s been a disappointing year for all of you, but we’re going to make up for it in 2021. There are many of you that have never been to an NTBA event, we encourage you to come out next year and join us. Meet fellow bucketheads, enjoy the cruises, go on dinner and ice cream runs, and spend some good quality time with our NTBA family. Remember, we don’t charge any event fees to attend, it’s all free. The only cost is the membership when you join the NTBA.
There’s going to be a lot of planning over the winter for 2021! So be ready to make up for our lost season. I’ll try to keep everyone up to date both on Facebook and our website at nationaltbucketalliance.com. I hope everybody stays safe, and we’ll talk soon.

A Note from the (NTBA) President
Hi All
How about some good news? Here is the schedule for the 2021 season!
All of you know how 2020 is going, and it’s going to be a long winter for some of you, so this is something to look forward to! And, my favorite saying, “ it’ll be here before we know it!”
New Zealand Chapter Fun Run and BBQ. January 31st, 2021
Crawfish and Cruising” Fun Run, Gulfport, Mississippi, April 8-11
Top of Texas Fun Run, Nazareth, Texas. May 7-8
Missouri Elephant Rock Fun Run, Desota, Missouri, May 6-8
NTBA NATIONALS, TOWNSEND, TENNESSEE, JUNE 10-12
Presidents Fun Run, Boerne, Texas. July 8-10
North Star State Fun Run, Rochester, Minnesota, July 29-31
Lake of the Ozarks, Osage Beach, Missouri, September 9-11
Lobsta Fun Run, Portland, Maine, September 16-18
Razor T’s Regional Fun Run, Mountain Home, Arkansas,
September 23-26
Tucson T’s fun Run, Tucson, Arizona, October 21-23
The schedule is pretty firm, although there may be slight tweaks, but shouldn’t be anything major. All event Hosts will be posting hotel and detail information about their runs.
We’ve had a lot of response with new bucket heads interested in our events. All T Bucket owners and drivers are welcome to attend any event free of charge with no “entry fee”. The only exception is our National event in Townsend, Tennessee in June. For this you must be a member because it’s a national meeting where we conduct club business. It’s easy to become a member, just go to the website nationaltbucketalliance.com. It’s $35 to join for the first year ( you get a t shirt, window stickers, and some more things) and $25 for annual renewal fee. We’re more than just a club, we’re a family that loves to spend time together. So if your new to T Buckets, or just now hearing about the NTBA, come on out to an event next year and be a part of the fun and family!
Also for next year. It’s election time (as if we haven’t had enough 😂).
The officer’s positions of Vice President, Treasure, and Secretary become available. If you’ve wanted to get involved in the planning and operation of the NTBA, this is your chance. No giant experience needed, just a willingness to be involved and actively participate. If your interested contact any board member. All requests must be in by February 1st, 2021. This will give you some time to think about it, and ask questions. Information can be found on the website at the top drop down menu under information.
I would also like to get our NTBA newsletter going again, for monthly updates on events and interests. If any of you have time and feel like putting this together from your home, please let me know. It’s a great way to keep up with the NTBA.
I hope all of you are well and staying healthy! I know 2020 was a bust and all of us were disappointed our runs didn’t work out. I’ll try to give regular posts during the winter so the NTBA fire will keep you warm with things to look forward to.
I look forward to seeing all of you again soon!
