Minutes of Cowtown Ts Dec.11, 2021 Meeting

Post by Lee in KC »

Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 - 2:00 pm
Home of Bernie and Wanda Stegmaier
Overland Park, KS

After a very pleasant holiday dinner, President Sal called the group to order for a short but important meeting. Secretary Lee took the roll. Present were…

Kevin & Laura Seward, Sal & Glenda Bonsignore, Dale & Carolyn Myers, Bernie & Wanda Stegmaier, Gary & Lisa Hotchkin, Werner Schaefer, Gary Jewell and Lee Metcalfe

Secretary Lee certified that a quorum was present.

President Sal said that since he has sold his T and doesn’t plan on getting another one, he didn’t feel it appropriate that he continue as president of a Model T car club. He said Laura has indicated a willingness to serve as president and nominated her for such. He called for nominations from the floor… there were none. Laura was unanimously elected as president of the Cowtown Ts.

All of the current officers indicated they would continue to serve in their respective offices until the next club election. Officers are…

President - Laura Seward
Vice President- Gary Hotchkin
Secretary - Lee Metcalfe
Treasurer - Carolyn Myers

Treasurer Carolyn gave a financial report and noted that most people did not pay dues in 2020 due to inactivity of the club because of COVID. Most in attendance paid their current dues. It was decided that dues for 2020 would be waived.

Vice President/cruise director Gary H gave a detailed report on preparations for the traditional post-Labor Day cruise that has historically been held at Lake of the Ozarks. Due to challenges with finding a satisfactory hotel, the NTBA leadership have agreed to find a new location in the same general area (central Missouri). Gary, Dennis Neblock, Rolla Hessel and NTBA President Bruce Deangelis have bee in extensive talks with convention and hotel officials in Columbia, MO and a preliminary agreement has been developed. Also, numerous cruise opportunities have been identified. Work continues on finalizing details.

There was a brief discussion on possible cruise ideas for the club next season. Also discussion on the group attending the New Theater restaurant as we have in the past. Gary will work on details over the winter.

There being no further club business, the meet was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,
Lee Metcalfe
Cowtown Ts Secretary
