I suggest you guys go back and read my post again of Jan 8 under “News about Nationals” under the Bowling Green Nationals Event on the home page!

But to be completely clear, both this website and Facebook are BOTH our official sites. The Facebook page is our private page and both help each other. It’s not this or that, it’s both. Facebook gets over 8k views, and that’s a statistic I can’t ignore.
Spanky does a fantastic job of blending the information between the two, and my appreciation is always for him.
Like I said, nobody has to go to Facebook if they don’t want to. But I ask that you resist the derogatory comments of “Fakebook” and “Farcebook” and just let us use another tool in our box to help with the big picture.

Bruce,

Where am I going wrong with trying to improve our NTBA website ? Since BOTH sites are official for the NTBA and we pay $$$ for this site, why would we NOT want to improve this site by encouraging more bots to crawl this site like they do the others sites. Jan should be able to make changes to our website to bring in more bots and more guests.

What did I say wrong above ?

My calling FB FARCE BOOK has NOTHING to do with OUR OFFICIAL WEBSITE HERE and it has everything else TO do with Face Book as you call it. Face Book IS a FARCE as are the idiot fact Checkers on that website. I don't really care where you go Bruce, stay of FARCE BOOK, I have joined the NTBA forum on FB three times and as of the third time I have left FOR GOOD! Too many know it all's, too many trolls, and for the most part too many a-holes, and this is MY opinion. The ONLY folks keeping THE Official NTBA website operating are myself, (occasionally), Spanky, Mike Wade, Top Hat, HiTec, IndyCars, RBS Welder, Dennis and Swamp Dog.

So I ask again, WHY is the NTBA paying $1800 a year for an OUT DATED and VERY LITTLE USED WEBSITE???

WHY do we still have posts on the Buy Sell Trade page back from 2012??

Why can't WE members, DELETE our own messages/posts like I'm able to do on other websites?

Why do we HAVE to go through the secret messages to do that which we SHOULD be able to do ourselves?

I don't like bothering Lee to do something for me, when I SHOULD be able to take care of whatever myself.

Since the NTBA is paying Jan $1800 a year, WHY can't this website be UPDATED????? I'm far from being a computer whiz, but when I look at the NTBA website and then others, hell we're in the bloody stone age!

Perhaps it's time we get a NEW operator of our website! Hell I can think of three people right off the bat that could upgrade this website, and THEY, ARE MEMBERS.

Look at the bottom of the Board Index....the MOST folks that have been on this website is ELEVEN!!!! And that was back in 2012!!!

By the way Bruce, the NTBA forum on FARCE BOOK is NOT an "official" NTBA site, IF it is, how come they don't have to pay to join?

So you are saying then that our OFFICIAL WEBSITE IS FREE???? Just want to get this all straight in my noggin.

I'm outta here. Just voicing MY opinions, and I know you don't like them, but hey, that too is YOUR opinion. See you next year somewhere.

Opinions are like a certain body part. While all are respected or should be, they are just that, opinions. We have discussed this over and over and over and over. Enough already! Yes Rick am was willing to get involved with the website, only if he has FULL Control! BS!! Gown May of you chirping in her are actually posting on a regular basis?? If it dies, it’s YOUR fault! Quit blaming the board or officers, we have elections for all positions every year. If you think you have all of the answers and can truly improve the NTBA, run for office, I dare you!!! BTW, you have big shoes to fill, just saying.

Hey luggy, we can’t get people to volunteer for an office! So how in the world do you think we’re gonna get someone to run the website for free? As long as the person willing to volunteer their time and work or even be paid, has got the best interest of the NTBA in mind and not a personal interest as one other person did that volunteered, I don’t have a problem with that. Change is constant, although not always popular, but the ability to adapt is on you! Or you can choose to stay where you are, if that’s your comfort zone. To finish my comment earlier, the only thing constant is change, your ability to accept and move on , or not is on you! Let’s not make the website a battle ground folks! Call or email a board member to discuss your ideas for change!!!! I’m done and going back to my hamburger and Crown

RATS!!!!! Ya know what a slip of the finger does to computers? I had a nice reply typed up and a slip of the right ring finger ended it all...everything went POOF! Too bad there wasn't a way to SAVE a reply. I know that on my Gmail, if my finger gets out of hand, the letter or whatever that I was typing would automatically go to the draft. Well I will have to regroup and TRY to recall all that I said...it was very enlightening Rolla. :-) No really, you needed a good laugh anyway. There goes that twitch again, you really should have someone look at that.

Well I need to get upstairs and locate SOMETHING to eat. This WILL be continued at a later time, perhaps tonight as that would be later or maybe tomorrow as that would actually be latererer.
